Sam Hale has provided the following from Sunday's fixture

Match 3 West Midlands Young Athletes League , Warley Woods, Hosted by Tipton Harriers

A Big Thank You!

Sunday morning saw a team of eager Tipton Harriers at Warley Woods setting up the course before it was light, swiftly joined by an army of parents and grandparents who spent the day marshalling on what was a very cold day. We've had very positive feedback from the League about the course and organisation and all in all I think the day was a great success. Thank you to all those who gave their time.

The young athletes did themselves proud despite lots of them suffering with a cough.

There were just 2 Under 17 women out this time, Katie Dolan was first back in a fabulous 9th place followed by team captain Lauren Macefield finishing well in 23rd place.

The Under 11 boys team was hit by injury so we were down to 3 runners. Team Captain Thomas Bentley finished 50th after a great start followed by Robert Stones 78th and Joshua Hickman 79th.

The Under 17 men were represented by Team Captain Chris Davies 28th and Tom Brown who had to pull out with an injury.

The Under 11 girls had Isabelle Mason finishing in 17th followed by Team Captain Jade Charlton 32nd battling it out with Navanjot Sandhu 33rd and Isobel Eagle 106th.

Team Captain Vinay Bakshi was our only under 15 boy finishing in 68th place. More under 15's next time please?

The Under 13 girls were out in force, Holly Sides was 21st closely followed by Bella Fantom 25th, Savannah Causer 26th, Megan Whincup 30th, Team Captain Monique Oladujoye 39th, Olivia Fellows 56th and Charlotte Macefield 124th.

The Under 13 boys turned out a full team which was fantastic! Team Captain Oliver Mason was first for Tipton in 15th, then came Haydn Watson 25th, Lynden Hunt 36th, Alexander Parker 54th and Dominic Stanton 71st.

Last to race were the Under 15 girls against an exceptionally strong Halesowen squad. Rosa Lewis finished 12th, Kate Farnell 16th, Team Captain Bethany Walker 18th, Eve Mulvaney 30th, Holly Mason 35th, it was great to see Megan Moore back 52nd, and Sarah Henderson was 63rd.

The under 15 girls are now in 3rd place after 3 matches.
